WORKSHOP: Intro to Sewing & Alterations

Who is this workshop for?

This is perfect for absolute newbies looking to conquer the sewing machine AND be able to do basic alterations on their own clothes. 

What will I learn?

We’ll kick things off by threading up your machine and mastering the basics—think straight and zigzag stitches, different feet and buttonholes. You’ll make your own little bag after the basics are covered. We’ll then move on to alterations - think taking up, taking in, adding trims. By the end, you’ll feel like a sewing superstar, ready for more advanced courses! You’ll also tackle troubleshooting the machine. 

Duration:

4 hours of sewing (With lots of tea and biscuits!) 

You don’t need any previous experience and everything will be provided - just bring your lovely self!

We kindly ask for a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice for cancellations of any course or workshop. Once written confirmation from Studio Minti Makers has been processed, the customer can defer attendance. Please note that all courses and workshops are non-refundable (with the exception of said course or workshop not having enough people to run it, as stated above.)
